25 hours per week
Monday – Thursday: 7:00am – 9:00am & 3:00pm – 5:00pm
Friday: 7:00am – 9:00am & 2:15pm – 3:15pm

Smart Education is currently recruiting for a Minibus Driver to support a specialist educational setting in the Kings Norton area. The setting provides tailored support for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, delivering a nurturing environment where students are supported to develop independence, confidence and positive life skills.

Job Requirements:
• Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme (MiDAS) certification
• A valid D1 driving licence with no more than six penalty points
• Experience driving larger vehicles such as minibuses or vans
• Knowledge of basic vehicle safety and daily vehicle checks
• Reliable, punctual and professional approach
• Enhanced Child DBS on the update service
• Valid passport
• Ability for us to obtain 24 months of employer and/or academic references

Role Responsibilities:
• Safely transport pupils to and from school each day
• Ensure pupils travel in a safe, calm and respectful environment
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any concerns
• Follow all safeguarding and school transport procedures
• Maintain accurate records where required
• Work closely with school staff to ensure safe collection and drop-off of pupils
